Have you noticed how friendly people have become during this time of isolation? We have been trying to get out for a walk at least once a day. Whenever we come across other people doing the same, they always acknowledge us with a wave or a “Hi, how are you doing?”
Today we took a drive through the Starbucks drive-through just to get out of the house. We saw a family building a snowman in the front yard. I stopped to let my granddaughter see it, and the family waved at us. I rolled down the window and (from a safe distance, of course) we chatted with them about their snowman and how everyone was doing.
This is something that wouldn’t have happened during a normal day. Maybe if anything good comes out of this, it will be that we’re all a little friendlier to each other.
